I get it.
Dieting is hard.
And once you are done you can’t wait to get back to eating normally.
But what does normal even mean? And where could you go wrong?
First off, the best-case scenario is that you are eating the same foods:
in your fat loss phase.
in your maintenance phase.
in your building phase.
The only thing that should change going through the different phases is the quantity of (certain) foods.
In a building phase, you will probably eat more calorie-dense and processed foods than in a fat loss phase.
Simply because you have more room for it.
In a fat loss phase, you will consume more nutrient-dense foods to keep you as healthy as possible and fuller for longer.
Simply because your calorie budget is smaller and dieting is not a ‘healthy’ condition per se.
So in order to get out of the diet, you won’t need to eat different foods but just more food in general.
Being out of a diet doesn’t mean you should start eating junk food again, snacking all the time, skipping meals, or not tracking and going YOLO.
This is the worst-case scenario that will most certainly lead to weight gain.

What you need to do instead is:
You must understand that once you are out of your dieting phase, the true work beings.
Being consistent with a good amount of food over a long period of time.
That’s what will help you to build muscles, create shape, and set you up for long-term success.
