7 Good Reasons To Start A Building Phase

When I’m looking back at my first building phase in 2020, I’m honestly asking myself:⁠⁠

“Dragana, why haven’t you done this earlier?!”⁠⁠

The strength gains I’ve made are badass and the muscles I’ve built are giving me the shape I desire.

And while these two things are cool outcomes, I’ve more than ever enjoyed the whole process of eating food to perform my best in the gym and grow.

Before that, I associated food tracking and eating “healthy” mainly with dieting and making myself smaller.

But committing myself to a building phase was a big game changer and I’m enjoying this second build even more.

Here are 7 reasons why a building phase is the way to go for you:

1. GET SUPER STRONG
Yes, you can get stronger without gaining a lot of mass. But let’s be frank, eating more to put on some serious muscles will be a BIG boost for your strength gains

2. MORE DEFINITION
You can lose weight but if you have no muscles, you will look flat. Believe me, I’ve been there.

3. NEVER FEEL HANGRY
This is directly related to the amount of food you eat in a building phase and let me tell you: You won’t be hungry.

4. TAKE A LOOOONG BREAK FROM DIETING
Maybe even push it to the point where you really look forward to dieting again. This is a game-changer for your commitment the next time you diet.

5. OVERCOME THE FEAR OF GAINING WEIGHT
You are enough & worthy regardless of your body weight & shape. If someone tells you otherwise, they can take the next exit out of your life.

6. FOOD = PERFORMANCE
Experiencing what it means to fuel your body so that it can perform is very liberating & a big contrast to constantly restricting what you eat to control your weight.

7. BUILD SHAPES & CURVES
And even when you don’t lose body fat, having more muscles makes you look more defined and you will be stronger in life.
