6 Things I Wish I Knew Ealier

Learning from people who are already where I wanted to be has been a BIG game changer in my health & fitness journey.

Once I started to invest in my education I was able to make progress faster than ever before.

It helped me to cut out the BS and get straight to the things that really matter + work for my goals.

In today’s email, the emphasis is on the first pillar of Women Strength Society: honesty.

I’ll share today 6 things that I wish I knew earlier in my fitness.

I wish people would have been more honest with me at the beginning of my journey and have told me this:

  1. Transforming the body takes years and you’ll need to go through different phases. These phases will not only challenge you physiologically but also psychologically. Start to commit to a long-term project rather than expecting quick results.
  2. Investing in a coach and mentor saves time and frustration. But it isn’t a shortcut for doing the hard, uncomfortable work.⁠
  3. Training comes from progressing over time. Doing random workouts and being frustrated about the lack of results is not fair. Randomness will never lead to specific outcomes.⁠
  4. Simplicity can make a difference in achieving results. Don’t make things harder on yourself by searching for fancy or new solutions. Focus on the boring stuff that nobody wants to do and do it very well. For me, it was: training with intensity, hitting my macros, sleeping well, and saying ‘no’ more often.
  5. Other people may not understand why you are doing what you are doing. Do it anyway! ⁠
  6. A certain number on the scale will not dictate if you love yourself. Loving yourself doesn’t come from achieving a certain body weight. Loving yourself comes from dedicating your time and effort to work towards your vision.⁠
